We will make sure we discuss whether a single or joint life policy is right for you and discuss the benefits of a life insurance trust. Life insurance doesn’t have to be expensive and affordable life insurance options will be discussed as part of our recommendation. We take the time to compare the most relevant providers, so you don’t have to.

It doesn’t have to be expensive

Recent studies suggest that many people don’t have life insurance as they believe it is too expensive, despite the fact that over two-fifths of households admit they don’t know how much life insurance costs (Direct Line 2024). At Forever Home Mortgages, we always ensure any life insurance we recommend is affordable – not just for now, but for the long term.

Wanting to get covered but don’t know where to start – here’s some of the most frequently asked questions

What types of
life insurance are there?
There are several types of life insurance available and what is best for you will depend on your own personal circumstances. Whether that’s decreasing life insurance to protect your mortgage or family income benefit to pay a regular income to a family left behind, Forever Home Mortgages will provide recommendations tailored to your needs and preferences.
How much life insurance
cover do I need?
Determining how much life insurance you need involves assessing your financial situation, goals, and obligations. We will consider outstanding debts, replacing your income and future expenses when recommending how much life insurance cover you need.
What factors affect
the cost of life insurance?
Factors such as age, health, lifestyle and occupation can impact the cost of life insurance premiums. Typically, younger people will pay lower premiums, whilst smokers will pay higher premiums than non smokers. We ask key questions during your consultation, so we can recommend the right policy for you, no matter your circumstances.
Can I get life insurance if I have a
pre-existing medical condition?
Yes, you can still get life insurance with a pre-existing medical condition. Factors such as the severity of the condition and how long ago you were diagnosed with the condition may impact the eligibility. It’s important to disclose information about your condition in your consultation in order for Forever Home Mortgages to research and compare providers to give you the right recommendation.
What is the difference between single and joint life insurance?
A joint life insurance policy will cover two people under the same policy, which usually is partners or spouses. Typically this policy is designed to pay out on the first death to provide financial resilience to the surviving policy holder. A single plan would cover just one person and pay out upon death.
